The vision for Townshend Associates Ltd emerged from an idea to provide a project management and consultancy service that doesn't just have the knowledge but experience too. For the founder, having led a global elevator company UK operation for many years, a determination was already fuelled to draw on those strengths and put a different edge on the consultancy service provided...
Knowing that operational experience is often lacking in consultancy fields, it felt critical to provide that missing benefit directly to the customer and put the experience that we have at the forefront of our operating pulse, challenging, influencing and driving the customer's supply chain through positive and insightful actions. Though also important, we believe that specifying, monitoring, reporting and advising is just a part of the formulae for success.
The vision became reality in early 2019, when the company was formed and began providing project management services to one of the UK's foremost construction companies - a very successful relationship that continues today.
Operational experience is at the centre of this success, leveraging every opportunity, reducing risk, knowing the supply chain, their processes, constraints and challenges. We understand what needs to be done and precisely how, because in many cases we have done it. We intuitively know when to question and how to work collaboratively to unlock every cost, quality and programme benefit.
