LOLER Inspections and reports:
Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, all organisations that have employees (and use lifting equipment) have a duty to ensure regular and thorough examinations are carried out at statutory intervals by a competent and qualified person. The regulations place a responsibility on all responsible staff or premises owners alike.
The examinations (LOLER inspections) are required at 6 monthly intervals for passenger carrying lifts and at 12 monthly intervals for goods only lifts.
Our examination inspectors are qualified to NVQ3 level and possess a minimum of 25 years + lift industry experience.
The inspection will identify hazardous, faulty, worn or non-compliant equipment. The LOLER inspection report will categorise all points and observations and recommend on a course of action to remedy, along with timescales where appropriate.
Once you receive the report, which we aim to provide within 2 working days of the inspection, you may either direct your normal service provider to complete any required remedial work, subject to the terms of agreement you have in place with that service provider. Or, alternatively, seek our further independent guidance on other options.
